Description

Blood Pressure Reducer is a program that is designed to reduce blood pressure and help you relax without medication. The method used by Blood Pressure Reducer is the same as similar devices that are less convenient to use, and which cost far more.

How do we reduce your blood pressure so dramatically? Using gentle tones, we gradually lower your breathing rate to a "therapeutic" level that causes you to relax. In just a short time, the muscles surrounding your blood vessels relax, your blood flows more freely, and your blood pressure is reduced, often by 10-20 points. The effects can last all day!

SPECIAL NOTES FOR USAGE:

- This application is not a substitute for professional medical help if you have hypertension.

- To hear the crystal bowl sounds on an iPhone, you MUST set the physical ring/vibrate switch on the upper left side of the device to ring mode. This issue does not apply to iPod Touches since they don't have a vibrate switch.

- For the binaural sounds to be effective, stereo headphones are required. The binaural sounds tend to move you to a state of deep relaxation and meditation. If you don't care about the binaural sounds, I suggest turning them off in the preferences (the question-mark (?) button in the upper right of the main screen).

Works as advertised

This really works! I felt much calmer afterward--almost as if I had meditated. But a suggestion: it needs to give you more information about what your ideal breaths per minute should be. Am I supposed to set it? And to what?

I've read the ideal zone for reducing blood pressure is less than 10 breaths per min. For me, the setting of 6.5 seems to be perfect.

I find myself listening to the app when I'm waiting at doc appts or anywhere there is a delay, as well as making an effort to listen while relaxed at home.

The other day I listened to this while in traffic - no headphones. I was still alert and focused on driving but my stress vanished within minutes. Before I knew it, I'd arrived at my destination feeling calm and happy.

And yes, it does lower my BP. If you have a monitor, take your pressure, use the app for 15 min then recheck. You might be pleasently surprised. Your BP will likely be lower as well as you heart rate, which is important too.

Gotta love it when an app can provide multiple benefits.

Well worth the  in my opinion.
